 Our classes philosophy

IMG_0100 (1).jpeg

Diversity, open-mindedness, and respect are the foundations of our studio.

As paths towards happiness, well-being and growth are plentiful and unique, we want to encourage everyone to be yourself. And, for this purpose, we want to offer different options to suit your needs and objectives.

โ€‹

In an international-minded spirit, we provide our classes in an easy-to-understand English.  Our purpose is of course to welcome everyone. But we also want to go beyond the spoken language, and share our passion, our energy, and movements language common to the whole Yoga and Pilates communities in the world.

โ€‹

We aim to serve our community by creating a safe and enjoyable environment where everyone, regardless of the origins, culture or language, can relax, practice and engage with the others.

โ€‹We believe that Pilates and Yoga are more than just physical practices. There are lifestyles. It is way more than being flexible, or being skinny, or being strong. It is about developing self-awareness, and consciousness. It is about developing the potential of our body. It is about going beyond our limits, but also learning to accept ourself for who we are. It is about developing flexibility and strength in our mind.

Our classes

The courses we offer follow methods drawn from different cultures, each having the art of breathing as its basis.

As we embraces diversity in the techniques we teach, we encourage our students to combine different class styles and different teacher styles in order to maximize the benefits of the practice. We believe that each technique supports and complements one another.

โ€‹

Each method taught, through breathing and through its philosophy, enables one to find one’s centre, to live in the present moment, to find harmony between body, mind and soul and to achieve unity.

Meridians Stretching

All Levels
Low intensity class

A product of eastern culture and medicine, Meridians Stretching is a Japanese practice that combines stretching and self-massage.

Meridians Stretching is a revitalisation and harmonisation technique that stimulates breathing, circulation and digestion. It balances and recharges the circulation of the natural flow of energy and strengthens the vital centre of your being, known as Tanden.

The movements in the class combine stretching and opening of the joints, massage and stretching of muscles and nerves, blows, impacts and vibrations on the bones and joints, stimulation of the circulation of energy and massage along the meridians. The exercises also focus on breathing in order to calm the mind, free up tension and spread energy freely throughout the meridians.

Prenatal Pilates

All Levels
Low intensity class

Prenatal Pilates is specifically designed to accommodate the needs of the expectant mother, with a special emphasis on pelvic floor. Thanks to the focus on better posture, alignment and body awareness, Pilates is known for helping to relieve back and hip pain and sciatica while helping to alleviate symptoms of pubic synthesis, a common pregnancy condition.

The deep breathing, as well as the mind-body connection, helps to prepare mothers for labor and childbirth, and helps to better cope with the emotional ups and downs many women experience during pregnancy.

Pilates will support you through the three trimesters of pregnancy and support your body through all the changes it undergoes.

Postnatal Pilates

All Levels
Low intensity class

Built on gentle Pilates-based movements, postnatal Pilates helps gradually and safely recover not only figure and muscle tone, but strength from within.

The deep breathing leads to more energy, makes the new mother feel calmer and more connected. And the pilates-based exercises encourage the pelvic floor muscles to work with the deep tummy muscles. This will help support your spine and strengthen your pelvis as you begin to increase your daily activity levels.

Postnatal Pilates will help the new mother safely reconnect with one's own body, recharging the batteries and enjoying the practice with the baby in a safe environment.
